It’s Going To Be Like “Face Off”

This is the type of thing that happens almost every night at home.

Me: Honey, there is a mosquito on the ceiling.

Captain Thoughtful: I got this. Whoa! There are two of them up here! I’m going to smash them so hard. It’s going to be like “Face Off.”

Me: That makes no sense.

Captain Thoughtful: I know.

Me: I feel like, though, like, I want to make it make sense.

Captain Thoughtful: Right?!

  1. i’m all sad now! i was going to say that it made sense because when you squish them their faces will smoosh off but someone beat me to it… sad face.
I’m also sad because you like spiders and they terrify me and freak me out and why the heck does anything need that many legs?

  2. This is hilarious because it’s a scene in our bedroom! My husband gets on the bed and usually gets the little sucker but it never fails that he will open up his hand to look at his captive and the darn thing will fly away. You just gave me an idea for a post. 🙂

  3. ““It is astonishing how much worse one mosquito can be than a swarm. A swarm can be prepared against, but one mosquito takes on a personality—a hatefulness, a sinister quality of the struggle to the death.” -F. Scott Fitzgerald.
