Here Is A Thought On A Friday.

Until I was 24, I thought that if you sneezed with your eyes open, your eyeballs would pop-out. Then one day, someone asked me a question, “How strong do you think your eyelids are?!”. Answer, I think my eyelids are very strong, thankyouverymuch. I mean, it doesn’t make what I thought true, but let’s not diminish my eyelid strength just to prove that I had a scientifically flawed thought. Baby and bathwater and all that.

We need more people in the world like you – cos some of us have forgotten how to laugh about our eyelids! Thank you!

  2. Human eyelids are exceptionally strong. If you don’t believe me, try to set your alarm for 4am, and when it goes off, try to peel them apart.

  3. this is actually hilarious! I used to think a similar thing too, only I thought that after you have a baby your belly button doesn’t go back in and that I would be stuck with an outie forever.

  4. “I am pretty sure that, if you will be quite honest, you will admit that a good rousing sneeze, one that tears open your collar and throws your hair into your eyes, is really one of life’s sensational pleasures.” Robert Benchley.

You mean it is possible to sneeze with your eyes open?!? How wrong is it that i’ve been paranoid about my eyeballs popping out of my head since i was five?

  6. Yeah, but as you get older you worry less and less about the strength of your eyelids and more and more about the strength of other things. Personally, I try NEVER to sneeze. No good can come from it.

  7. Wait, but it’s not your eye lids. You squeeze your whole forehead and cheeks closer together when you sneeze (well I do, and unfortunately I have the pictures to prove it). Who’s to say that’s not what keeping your eye balls in place?
