A Very Contrary Christmas Card

I don’t know if you guys know Jules of GoJulesGo and The Byronic Man of…well TheByronicMan but you should. You should definitely know them because they have contests and put their faces on a sheet set. They are my people. You need to enter their contest so you can win sheets with their faces on them. Except, don’t enter the contest if your entry is going to be better than mine. I really want those sheets y’all.
So, to enter the contest you have to make a card depicting what the holidays really mean toย you– whatever that looks like. This is mine. Except I’m not good at making cards on this computer machine so really it’s just a picture with a caption. Because the simple things are the best things.

It’s like a snow angel. But with cookies.ย

Also, I feel like I should remind Jules and the Byronic Man that I really really like them and also that I’m getting married this Saturday and a sheet set with their faces on them would be a lovely wedding gift. But it’s no big deal if I don’t win, it will just RUIN MY WEDDING.

  1. Ha! Love this. There is no way you’re not winning this. If you don’t, then obviously the universe really is doomed to destruction on the 21st of December. It has to be if a girl surrounded by Christmas cookies can’t win a set of sheets….

  2. ” The monkey is the only cookie animal that gets to wear clothes, you know that… So I’m wondering, do the other cookie animals feel sort of ripped? Like, is the hippo going, “hey man, where are my pants? I have my hippo dignity.” And you know the monkey’s just, I mock you with my monkey pants, then there’s a big coup at the zoo…” -Oz, BTVS.

  3. Hey! I’m working on my entry right this minute, and just came online to double check that I was doing it right. And here you are with a link to their blogs and a great example for me to copy I mean emulate.

  4. Wow, GotC, you should be a travel agent. You just sent Jules and ByronicMan on a splendid guilt trip lol.

This Saturday, hey? I didn’t realize it was so close. That just makes my face want to smile. I can’t wait for your wedding post telling us all about it. We get pictures, too, right?

Okay, sweet one, have a wonderful wedding, honeymoon and Christmas all rolled into one! Talk about stacking the deck your way…it HAS to be wonderful. *hug*

    1. Haha! Yep, I learned all about those trips from my Grammy. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I can promise you posts and pictures although it might be a week or so before I get them up. ๐Ÿ™‚

Also, you’re the sweetest! Thank you!

  5. First off, congratulations on this momentous event – your terrific entry in our wonderful contest. And also on getting married this weekend.

And I’m SO relieved that it’s not a big deal. We were thinking we should just give the sheets to you, but as it’s not a big deal…

  6. *happy sigh*

Oh GotC. This is no cookie cutter card. This is pure magic. And please tell me you extended the “5 second rule” for this.

You are amazing. I love this.

    1. Obviously, of course I did. Some of those cookies were snickerdoodle- and I have like a 60 second rule for snickerdoodles. Those cookies shall not go to waste, I can promise you that. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      Love you!
