Thank You For Being A Friend

Well y’all, I’m absolutely chuffed. As of yesterday, I have over 2,000 followers. What? How did that happen? From whence did you all come? However it happened, I am absolutely thrilled that you are all here. I’m sending you all virtual hugs and happy vibes! I can’t tell you how much it means to me that you read this blog ever day and that you comment so much. And let’s be honest, most of the time the comments are way funnier than the posts. In fact, so much of my inspiration comes from you that I’m afraid I owe you all money. I really can’t say thank Β you enough! So, I’ll just let this song do the talking for me.

From now on, every time I watch Golden Girls (which is pretty much every night) I’ll think of y’all. Β Thanks for letting me make you laugh, or you know, kind of chuckle every once in a while. It means the world to me!

  1. Congratulations on your overwhelming 2000 followers! Great blogs like yours just magically attract attention. We all enjoy your posts! Keep them coming πŸ™‚

  2. In this world of niche blogs, your’s is a breath of fresh air. I’ve been a follower since I read one of yours a couple weeks ago.

PS: Do you have an archives to go back to your first posts or anything?
    Just wondering.

    Keep being funny!

    1. I also find it ironic that today, just prior to coming to your page, I posted about just now getting my 1000th view on my blog. I also included a video of Barry Manilow’s “Looks Like We Made It”.

      Congrats to Miletone Posts!!

  3. Wow! I am so happy for you! This is quite an accomplishment in the very competitive world of blogging…I agree with many of the people commenting on this post that a lot of it has to do with you and the fine humor you infuse to every post…I’m kind of slutty when it comes to blog following so other blogs I read every now and then but most haven’t haven’t managed too keep me interested. With your blog, however, I feel certain that I’ll be around for a long time πŸ™‚

Congrats! My lack of comments in no way detracts from how much I like your posts…wish there was a β€˜LIKED’ option to click!

  5. Unless things are so crazy that I don’t have a chance to get online at all, this is the place I visit without fail when I see a new post in my reading list window.

GotC has an impact beyond the internet, too. Last week I had my 3 year old Granddaughter, Bailey, with me all day on my day off since she had a cold and couldn’t go to school. After a little coaxing/coaching I had her saying “How Dare You!” pretty smoothly. I was trying for “How Very Dare You”, but couldn’t pull it off (yet).

It’s driving my Daughter and Mrs. Paladin nuts πŸ™‚

2000 followers! Congratulations. I think you downplay your humor. You wouldn’t have so many readers if you weren’t funny.

  7. Stephen Elliott is an author that I hadn’t heard of until 2 months ago, but in his daily emails he sends from therumpus.net, he’s started thanking the people who read them because it takes time and he realizes that that’s a limited resource. So I’m saying thank you for saying thank you.

  8. Ohh and thanks to you I’m absolutely obsessed with Game of Thrones. I even bought the 1st book cuz I can’t wait till April for season two. ^.^
IT’S THE MOST BRILLIANT THING I’VE SEEN IN A WHILE! And I’m not even into fantasy/dragons/war writing (until now)
