So, this is a new thing where I share an old journal entry from when I was younger. Feel free to laugh *at* me. Heaven knows I’m laughing at myself.
Journal Entry from 2003, Age 17.
A few things about me. (Just in case this journal is ever found, like centuries from now, and people need to know what a normal teenage girl was like)
My favorite color is green. My favorite book is Lost Horizon by James Hilton. My favorite song is “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen. I love to eat and absolutely adore food. I love the sound of rain and of the ocean. I love to read. I love ice cream. I love to watch movies. I loathe high school. I think I’m a touch clairvoyant. A cooking tip: white wine tastes good with just about anything (flavor-wise).
I feel horrid about disliking high school because it’s been pretty good to me but I’m just so over it. Although, I really hope I get asked to prom.

So…the prom. Did you go? Was his name Jake? Was he a team captain? Like your fiancé? Was your prom date your fiancé? Did you know I’d ask so many questions? You did? Wow. You’re good.
I did go. His name wasn’t Jake. He was not a captain. Definitely not like my fiance. My prom date was not my fiance unfortunately. Yes. And, I am that good.
Well, that’s good. Because if you had ended up with Tom the two of you would be known as TomGirl. And that would be bad. You know how that whole name-splicing thing turns out.
Haha. Wow. Well, I just nominated you for the 7 Things award… but I have a feeling we’re going to learn WAY more than 7 things about you in the not-too-distant future.
